Objectives
- Special Events – Supports and produces recreational events in the region that focuses on river related recreation.
- Education – Provides education curriculum to middle school teachers and students that introduces the Truckee River issues including water quality, habitat and recreation
- Safety – Provides community river safety education including access to river safety equipment and an understanding of the foundations of safe river recreation.
- River Access – Continues to develop, fund and represent safe passage and recreational improvements on the Truckee River for adventure sports, athletic training and ecological enhancement.
- Athletic Development – Encourages local involvement, environmental education, leadership development, and personal growth in local young people through river sports.
